Have you ever wondered how some people seamlessly make it through their day with a smile? I am going to share with you 5 ways to kick start your day of bliss. Believe it or not, I have heard some people get defensive about their own ineffectiveness to achieve this by saying, “I’m happy. I don’t go wandering through my day smiling like an idiot or anything but I’m fine.” My question is…What does that even mean!?! Why does someone who smiles through their day have to look like an idiot?
Unfortunately,often times I have found that when people can’t figure out how to achieve something they turn that thing into something negative that they wouldn’t want to achieve anyway. It’s their subconscious effort to protect them from failing.We live in a society that fears “failure”. After reading this doesn’t that sound crazy?Now, you may know someone or you yourself may have even done this. You might possibly even be laughing at self because you know for a fact you are guilty of this very thing. If you are the person laughing… Fantastic! Why do I say this?Because you my friend had the courage to even acknowledge it and then took it a step further and laughed because you could see it for what it is. That is a beautiful beginning to creating the change needed to achieve anything you want in your life. Being able to laugh at ourselves is incredibly healthy. I infuse all of my retreats, webinars, events and sessions with humor because I truly believe it heals the soul.
Now, if you are the person reading this feeling a little down about yourself because you realized the above to be true. Fantastic!!! Why am I repeating myself and applauding you too? Because my friend, acknowledging our actions is a halfway mark to success. This is something I often work with my clients on, as it is the needed start to creating the desired outcome. Whatever that outcome might be. For you, I would just ask that you learn to be a little gentler with self. Something I would love to help you learn how to do.
As I start to get into the 5 Ways to Start a Day of Bliss I want you to keep an open mind and set an intention to do this for at least 21 days in a row. Creating this habit will settle it into action. If you do this for 21 days, while being cognizant of your world around you, you will absolutely notice a difference. Shower with Intention – A shower can involve amazing things in general but a shower filled with intention takes it to another level. When you step into your shower set the intention of releasing all that no longer serves you.As you allow the water to wash down over your head imagine it taking with it all the stress, negativity and overall nonsense that no longer serves you. A sit flows down over your body taking all of the energetic and emotional crap with it see it leaving you and going right down the drain. Smile and allow yourself to feel how good it is to be free from the crap you were holding onto.Imaging that water like a magnet pulling it all out and away and carrying it all down the drain. Say goodbye with a smile and let yourself start to day dream about the good things to come.
Morning Affirmation– If you are unfamiliar with affirmations you can find some examples and information on my website. It is so important to follow your shower with affirmations.Positive images and feelings that imbue all that you wish to be.
Let Go – Are you ready?? This can be a hard one but really doesn’t need to be. Its all perception my friend. Okay, here it goes… Let go of any and all expectations of how you want or expect your day to go. Its perfectly okay to want to set goals or agendas but do not become so rigid in how they need to unfold. Allow for the possibility that your higher power (God, Spirit, Buddha, the universe) whatever you choose to call it may have an even greater plan for you. Releasing control is not always easy but if you can reframe it to have faith in your higher power it often helps.
Get Your Mind Right – Mindset and Intention are everything my friend. There I said it. If there is one of these things listed that I consider the “power player”?? Its mindset and intention for sure. This is one of the biggest things I share with my clients and when that can be mastered anything is possible.
Tithe Happiness – Yes,yes, yes… Watch how a kind word, or smile not only makes someone else light up but it feels good for you also. It’s like instant karma! Spread kindness and watch how it is returned to you in every area of your life.

This list is a gift. A gift that can only do amazing things if you put it to use. It’s like getting that shiny new item you saw on TV that was guaranteed to make life easier. You had to have it. Everyone is talking about it. People are raving about how great it is.. You just know its going to make life easier! But… Instead of pulling it out to use it you make excuses of how long its going to take to read the users manual and “figure it out”. Maybe you will make time next week to look it over. The truth is… If we are being honest, once you set the mindset of it being “time consuming” and “more work” you will most likely continue to find reasons not to use it. This is why I spoke of mindset and intention being everything. You can absolutely gain things from this list but it will require for you to set the intention and create the mindset that this is important and you are worthy right now. You have got this!
